The Six Day Silent Directed Retreat with Fr. Stephen Coffey is for people of all walks of life, including the laity, clergy, and those in consecrated life who long for a deep, personal experience of God’s love and presence, and who feel drawn to an extended conversation with the Lord.
The daily schedule is arranged to give you maximum unencumbered time for prayer, along with daily Eucharist and several optional communal activities. Each participant will have a personal spiritual director with whom you will meet each day.
We offer the Six Day Silent Directed Retreat two times each year, in January and in June.
This guided retreat will consider the spirituality of St. Charles de Foucauld (1858-1916), canonized in May 2022 by Pope Francis. His motto was: To Cry the Gospel By Our Life. Each day we will consider a Gospel passage that informs his spirituality which can be summarized as “letting Jesus live in us,” symbolized by the Heart and the Cross.
